Privacy.
This policy distinguishes the public website from the Needle vs Wedge iOS app. The website uses privacy-first performance analytics. The app itself does not contain analytics or tracking.
Website.
Hosting and analytics
The website is hosted by Cloudflare Pages and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare’s performance beacon records aggregate page-view and page-load information. Available dimensions include country, host, page path, referring host, device type, browser, and operating system.
Cloudflare states that Web Analytics collects the minimum information needed for performance metrics, does not collect or use visitors’ personal data, and does not track individual visitors across its customers’ Internet properties. Learn more in Cloudflare’s data-collection documentation and privacy policy.
No website accounts or forms
This website does not create user accounts, accept gameplay submissions, operate a newsletter, sell advertising, or build marketing profiles. Support issues are handled by GitHub only when a visitor chooses to follow the external support link.
iOS app.
Needle vs Wedge does not use third-party advertising, ad networks, analytics, tracking, or a developer-operated account or server. The app may preview unowned cosmetics sold in its own Store. The developer does not receive your gameplay history, Game Center identity, contacts, location, or device identifiers from the app.
Data kept on your device
The app stores settings, cosmetic selections, achievement progress, and win totals on your device. If you sign in to Game Center, the app also stores your Game Center player identifier locally so progress from different Game Center accounts stays separate. This information is not sent to the developer.
Deleting the app removes its local data. Records held by Apple, including Game Center achievements and App Store purchases, are controlled through your Apple account and Apple’s services.
Game Center.
Online matches, matchmaking, achievements, and leaderboards use Apple’s Game Center service. When you sign in, Apple provides the app with your Game Center player identifier and display name. The app uses that information to authenticate Game Center features, separate local progress by player, choose online match roles, and display an opponent’s name during a match.
Online gameplay uses GameKit peer-to-peer networking, with Apple relay services when needed. During a match, the other player can see your Game Center display name and equipped cosmetics. Their device also receives your app version and the gameplay inputs and match messages needed to run the shared match. Needle vs Wedge has no custom game server. The developer does not receive the match traffic.
Apple processes Game Center data under Apple’s privacy policy and your Apple account settings.
Purchases.
Optional cosmetic purchases use Apple’s StoreKit and App Store services. The app asks Apple for product information and verified purchase entitlements so it can unlock and restore owned cosmetics. Apple processes payment information; the developer does not receive your card number or billing credentials.
Apple may provide the developer with its standard sales, financial, and diagnostic reports. Those reports come from Apple rather than directly from the app.
Advertising and tracking.
Needle vs Wedge contains no third-party advertising SDK, ad network, analytics SDK, or tracking SDK. It may show previews for cosmetics sold in its own Store. The app does not sell personal information and does not track you across apps or websites.
Support and contact.
If you choose to open a support issue on GitHub, the information you submit is handled by GitHub under GitHub’s privacy statement and may be public depending on how you post it. Do not include private information in a public issue.
